After six successful seasons, when both the small and grown-ups were entertained and moved by our version of Louskáček, we know there is time for a change. That's why we offer you Dickens´ Christmas Carol, and we firmly believe it will stay in the repertoire, not only in advent time, as long as the former performance. A businessman Ebenzer Skrooge is mean. Actually, he loves only one - money! He hoards it, and he scrimps where it is possible. He is not able to be kind and generous even at Christmas. But everything is about to change soon: mysterious visitors are to visit him - The Ghost of Christmas Past, The Ghost of Christmas Present and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Perhaps blinkers will fall from the miser´s eyes, and he will decide for a cardinal change of his life ...The classical story of Victorian England is to be remade into a spectacular performance for the whole family. It will be prepared by a choreographer and dancer Richard Ševčík, who acts as a soloist of the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen. He is the winner of the Thalia Award 2014 for the title role of Spartacus (choreographer J. Pokorný) and as a choreographer of the production of Dorian Gray, he received the Prize of the City of Pilsen for an outstanding artistic performance. Music for our performance will be composed especially for our production by the composer and actor Jan Matásek (a member of the Minor Theatre), who composes for Czech theatres (the Komedie, Alfa, Naive Theatre, Nablízko, Drak, Reduta, Viola). But music for a full-length dance performance will be a novelty for him.
