MARIANA FONSECA TORRES

Mariana Fonseca Torres is a Portuguese dancer from Póvoa de Varzim, where she was born in 1997. Her talent for dance was manifested from a very young age. Her motivation was supported by her first dance professor. She started her dance career in her hometown at the private school Artedança. During her studies she took part in many international competitions - the renowned TanzOlymp in Berlin, where she won the bronze medal, the World Dance Cup in England, Austria, France and Portugal. Then in 2015 she moved to Madrid, Spain to study at Rey Juan Carlos University, where she graduated in Bachelor of Arts and Classical Dance. During her studies she worked with the Ballet de Cámara de Madrid, where she had the opportunity to perform in classical full-length ballets. She graduated in 2019. Mariana likes to practice pilates and yoga and also enjoys studying psychology, health and lifestyle. Through the audition held by the ballet of the Liberec Theatre in 2019, Mariana became a member of the company at the beginning of the season 2019/2020.
